    Canadian Tire Financial Services Senior Leaders Lend a Hand at Niagara Children’s Centre for 16th Annual Leadership Day of Service!

      Despite less than perfect weather, including a bit of rain, Canadian Tire Financial Services’ (CTFS) senior leaders spent the day at Niagara Children’s Centre refreshing spaces both indoors and outdoors, as part of the organization’s 16th Annual Leadership Day of Service on September 29. They came to the Centre with nearly 100 employees providing 660 hours of work and $60,000 worth of materials and supplies. Projects included extensive landscaping, painting, building sensory tables, chalkboards and indoor and outdoor equipment storage.       Dust off your capes and join us for the 2nd Annual Superhero Run in support of Niagara Children’s Centre! Superheroes across Niagara – young and old – are invited to participate in the 1K/5K fun run/walk on Sunday, October 16.  Registration opens at 11:00 a.m., 1K race kicks off at 1 p.m., followed by the 5K race at approximately 1:45 p.m. on the grounds of Brock University across the street.   The 1K route is fully accessible and includes several interactive superhero themed stations along the route.     Putting smiles on the faces of kids at Niagara Children’s Centre: Smilezone Foundation revitalizes spaces for children with special needs

      Niagara Children’s Centre proudly opened the doors to six newly refreshed spaces on Wednesday, thanks to the Smilezone Foundation,an independent charity committed to “putting smiles on children’s faces.” The gym, therapy pool, pool waiting areaand three change rooms all underwent some big changes, sure to put smiles on the faces of the over 3,200 kids and families who use the spaces each year.  The walls throughout all of the refreshed spaces feature murals of Bones the Niagara IceDogs mascot, exploring familiar locations across the Niagara Region.     Niagara Children’s Centre welcomes new Physiatrist Dr. Paul Stacey

      Niagara Children’s Centre is proud to welcome Dr. Paul Stacey to the team, a physiatrist who is now holding two clinics at the Centre - a spasticity clinic and a physical medicine clinic.   He previously held the clinics in Hamilton, but is happy to be able to run them closer to home, and help the kids he sees in their own community.  He shares, “Niagara Children’s Centre is such a friendly place, with great staff.
