Help us to Help Kids Shine during May!
Apr. 24, 2017
Monday, May 1 marks the official launch of Niagara Children's Centre's annual Help Kids Shine Campaign. For the entire month of May, our twelve campaign ambassador families, and Centre therapists will be featured through on-air interviews on 610 CKTB to showcase the amazing work and impact of services that takes place here at the Centre.
Help Kids Shine is in partnership with Bell Media, 105.7 EZ Rock, 97.7 HTZ-FM and 610 CKTB, to enable the Centre to reach more children, offer new programs, purchase equipment and improve our facility, to make sure that children in Niagara receive the highest standards of care possible. Each year the Centre supports over 3,400 children from across the region. The majority of the Centre’s financial support comes from the government but in order for the Centre to have the ability to help as many children as possible community support in raising funds is vital.
Last year the Help Kids Shine Campaign raised $104,605 and this year the Campaign goal is $115,000, which will help additional children receive services this year – children who would otherwise be on a waiting list.
The Kick-Off on April 24 featured an inspiring story from Erin Newton, mother of Chelsea who is one of this year’s Ambassadors. Followed by a Plasmacar race preview by Chris Bittle M.P, & Tim Denis, host of The Tim Denis Show that will take place on May 31.
