Speech Services Niagara’s Summer Literacy Program is well underway with 25 kindergarten-aged students participating in a researched-based, fun-filled summer program aimed at helping develop pre-reading skills! Over the course of three weeks, students are be working on rhyming, letter recognition, syllables, phonological awareness and much more through games and activities.
This program is a result of Niagara Children's Centre being successful in receiving a grant application to offer a summer family literacy program for children identified as needing a boost to develop key foundational skills in emergent literacy.
