    Community Partners With Heart!

      This spring Niagara Children’s Centre was pleased to launch the Foster Festival Drama Club at the Centre.  It was the first of its kind, and it brought an increased depth of recreational therapy programming for clients of the Centre.  For six weeks, professional actors lead a group of young aspiring actors – all clients of the Centre – to dig deep into their creative side.  The culmination of the weekly sessions was the performance on Wednesday night of “The Lion Who Lost His Roar”.  The Drama Club was the result of a community outreach initiative made possible through The…

    Help Kids Shine Raised $104,605!

    New Niagara clinic brings care closer to home for children with complex health needs

    On June 8, 2016 patients, families and staff from McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH) and Niagara Children’s Centre (the Centre) came together to celebrate a new clinic that is helping to improve the quality of life for children with complex medical conditions and their families living in Niagara. The Pediatric Complex Care Clinic at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton provides and coordinates care for children who have many health needs and who depend on technology to support their breathing.       Niagara Children’s Centre is developing a strategic plan that will assist us in identifying and prioritizing major initiatives that will guide our work over the next 3-5 years.  Through this process we are connecting with many stakeholders, including the families who use our services.
