    Improving Emergent Literacy Skills for At-Risk Kids with Funding from the Niagara Prosperity Initiative

      For children at risk for developing emergent literacy skills, the Summer Family Literacy Program – run by Niagara Children’s Centre’s Speech Services Niagara program – is a key component in their success moving into grade one. The program is a unique union of direct intervention with children by trained professionals and coaching for parents on how to facilitate early literacy skills in their child.    Key components for early literacy are introduced in six, 2-hour sessions.     Niagara Catholic District School Board Shows Incredible Support Again!

      Niagara Catholic District School Board once again showed their incredible support of ‘Kids Helping Kids’ this year. Students and educators raised a total of $35,146 for Niagara Children’s Centre. In fact, the amazing cumulative total over the past 18 years is more than $711,000!
