    Family Advisors Needed!

      Niagara Children’s Centre is looking for family members to help improve the quality of Centre services and the family experience related to our services. We want to engage families in our improvement efforts because we recognize that families offer knowledge, perspectives, and insights that no one else can provide.     Niagara Children’s Centre welcomes new Physiatrist Dr. Paul Stacey

      Niagara Children’s Centre is proud to welcome Dr. Paul Stacey to the team, a physiatrist who is now holding two clinics at the Centre - a spasticity clinic and a physical medicine clinic.   He previously held the clinics in Hamilton, but is happy to be able to run them closer to home, and help the kids he sees in their own community.  He shares, “Niagara Children’s Centre is such a friendly place, with great staff.     Niagara Children’s Centre Client Awarded OACRS Scholarship

      Niagara Children’s Centre is pleased to congratulate Ryan Boros on being a 2016 OACRS Scholarship recipient, which will help him to attend Carleton University in the fall where he will be studying law, with the aim having a career in politics or as a contract lawyer working in sports.  The scholarship, sponsored by the Ontario Association of Children’s Rehabilitation Services, recognizes community involvement and leadership ability, as well as overcoming barriers and challenges faced by students with disabilities.     Niagara Children’s Centre Receives $217,400 in Facility Improvement Funding

      MPP Jim Bradley announced this morning that the Ministry of Children and Youth Services is making a $217,400 investment in improving Niagara Children’s Centre’s facilities.  The investment will support several facility improvements at the Centre, which includes: repaving the parking lot, replacing an air conditioning condenser unit, replacing an air conditioner unit in the IT server room, and improvements to the therapeutic pool’s heat exchanger system.  There will also be important safety improvements including, replacing the aged fire panel system and removing all wire mesh fire glass.   “It can be difficult for organizations like ours to support such…
