Niagara Corvette Club showed their dedication to continuing their long-time support of Niagara Children's Centre with a donation towards The Home and Vehicle Program.
The Home and Vehicle Modification Program assists families with home and vehicle accessibility through ongoing consultation with an Occupational Therapist and a Social Worker. The team works with the family from the beginning stages of the project until completion. Making a home accessible involves a thorough understanding of the child and the family’s needs and capabilities both now and in the future; determining the type of equipment that will best suit those needs through trialling different options and also ensuring that building codes are being met or in the case of rental homes, that landlords are in agreement and that equipment can be moved should the family move.
The Niagara Corvette Club has been one of the Centre’s longest standing donation groups and has raised over $400,000 over the past 44 years. The Club met with Sabrina Elliott Vergara, Co-Chair, and Family Advisory Network & Centre Parent who thanked the Club on behalf of all the Centre families they have supported as well as gave them a backgrounder to her family’s personal story with the Centre.
Please join us in thanking Niagara Corvette Club, for continuing to change and improve the lives of the families and children living in the Niagara Region.
