Doctors Day

Known as Doctors Day in Ontario and National Physicians Day in Canada, May 1 is an opportunity to recognize the extraordinary people who choose to serve in the profession of medicine. Proclaimed in 2011, May 1st was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Canada’s first woman physician, Dr. Emily Stowe.
