Services for Children Aged 0-4 Years
Programs and services are available from a child’s birth until they start or are eligible for the first year of kindergarten (up to August 31 of the year the child turns 4). Children receiving our core services of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology may be eligible for additional services by internal therapist referral.
Children who receive multiple services may have services provided according to the Centre’s team-based approach to care. With the team-based approach, one Niagara Children’s Centre professional may take on the role of service coordinator for the child or take the lead in carrying out activities designed to achieve goals set by another professional on the team.
When a child is eligible to begin school, transfers will be made to our school-age programs when the child meets program eligibility.
