Pam Sharp joins the organization as the new Director of Development

St. Catharines, ON – After more than 20 years of transforming Niagara’s non-profit landscape, Pam Sharp has joined Niagara Children’s Centre as its new Director of Development, bringing her extensive expertise and passion for supporting families in the region.

For Sharp, who officially started on January 13, this is more than a professional opportunity—it’s a personal mission.

“I am excited about this opportunity as I feel it is a perfect blend of my experiences and values as a professional fundraiser and Mom of three,” she says. “My family is at the centre of everything I do, and it will be a privilege to know that the workday I spend away from them is helping other children and their families.”

Sharp’s career reflects a deep commitment to fostering positive change. Most recently, she served as Executive Director at Project SHARE, where she led efforts to expand emergency food and support services for Niagara Falls residents. Under her leadership, the organization significantly grew its impact, doubling its fundraising revenue within four years, while addressing the evolving and complex needs of the Niagara Falls community.

“Pam’s extensive fundraising experience, personal values, and genuine commitment to helping others make her a perfect fit for our team,” said Oksana Fisher, CEO of Niagara Children’s Centre. “Her ability to connect with donors and cultivate meaningful relationships will help us continue to expand our programs and services, making a lasting impact on children and families in Niagara.”

Sharp’s philanthropic roots run deep. Inspired by her grandfather, a founding member of the Stamford Kiwanis Club, she embraced community involvement at a young age. After beginning her career in advertising, she transitioned to non-profit fundraising, earning her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation and building a reputation as a relationship-driven leader in the sector.

“I have always been a people person, thriving on building relationships and creating positive change,” Sharp shared. “Working for organizations with missions that align with my values drives my success in fundraising.”

As a lifelong Niagara resident, Sharp has witnessed the Children’s Centre’s growth and heard countless stories of its impact on families.

“I’m truly looking forward to contributing to that legacy and matching donors with rewarding opportunities to help kids shine.”

Fisher emphasized the importance of Sharp’s role in advancing the Centre’s mission.

“Pam will play a key role in connecting with supporters and ensuring they see the direct impact of their generosity,” Fisher added. “Her leadership will help us sustain and grow the programs that so many children and families rely on.”

Sharp’s arrival marks an exciting chapter for Niagara Children’s Centre as it continues to deliver on its vision of seeing Niagara’s children and youth at their best. Donors are invited to connect with Sharp to explore ways they can support the Centre’s mission of helping Niagara’s children and youth reach their full potential.
